EaPTC holds consultations with Ukrainian Stakeholders on Moldova-Ukraine Territorial Cooperation Programme

On September, 30th, 2013 the consultations of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Support Programme (EaPTC Support Programme) with national and regional authorities of Ukraine for the implementation of the Territorial Cooperation Programme Moldova – Ukraine took place in Kyiv.

The Consultations were held by Alexey Sekarev, EaPTC Support Programme Team Leader, and Lyubov Palyvoda, the Advocacy Expert. From Ukraine the representative of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, head and specialists of the Unit for Technical Assistance of the EU of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and representatives of Regional State Administrations of the Odessa, Vinnytsa and Chernivtsy Oblasts, the eligible areas of the Territorial Cooperation Programme Ukraine-Moldova, took part in the consultations.

During a meeting the objectives and priorities of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation (EaPTC) as a whole, and of the Territorial Cooperation Programme Ukraine-Moldova, in particular were presented. During a meeting the prospects of the territorial cooperation aimed at developing joint solutions to common social and economic development challenges in the participating boarder regions with Moldova were discussed. The EaPTC Support Programme also proposed for consideration and discussion the activities and actions to be implemented for effective realisation of the Programme of the Territorial Cooperation Moldova-Ukraine.

Consultations with the Moldovan side are planned for October 17-18, 2013 in Chisinau.
