Moldova: human rights online and offline

Ensuring the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in offline and online environments was the focus of a recent training seminar for thirty judges and prosecutors in Moldova. The participants widened their knowledge on the European Court of Human Rights case law, the Council of Europe’s (CoE) standards on human rights protection and the rule of law in the digital world.
 
The training also covered such topics as data protection and privacy, freedom of expression online and cyber security, reports the press service of the Council of Europe and European Union Programmatic Cooperation Framework.
 
This activity took place within  the framework of the joint CoE and EU project, entitled “Strengthening the Respect for Human Rights in the Implementation of the Republic of Moldova’s Digital Agenda”. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
