EU-funded cross-border project helps Moldovan and Ukrainian youth develop basic life skills and social responsibility

December 15, 2017

Moldovan and Ukrainian partners on both sides of the border have launched a project to facilitate people-to-people contact in the social, cultural and educational spheres, with the focus on young care leavers from the two countries.

The project aims to contribute to the creation of better conditions for young people (16-19 years old) from Moldova and the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine. It will help them to develop basic life skills and, more specifically, increase the capacity of young people, operators, civil society and local authorities to identify common social problems and common solutions.

The 14-month project “Facilitation of people-to-people links in the social, cultural and educational spheres with a focus on young care leavers from the Republic of Moldova and the Chernivtsi region” is being implemented between November 2017 and January 2019. It is part of the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programme (EaP TCP) in Moldova and Ukraine.
