CLEEN project to present at EU Sustainable Energy Week in Brussels

June 16, 2017

The EU-funded Civil Society Local Energy Network (CLEEN) project will participate in EU Sustainable Energy Week, which will take place in Brussels between 19 and 25 June. The project will demonstrate the importance of energy efficiency and cost saving, as well as the accountability of local and national authorities on this issue.

On 21 June, the project team will organise a press conference entitled “CLEEN energy has changed our lives”, where it will raise the importance of making local grass roots organisations stronger by working on energy efficiency. It will present the “CLEEN” approach and success stories about public participation in energy efficiency initiatives and talk about energy cooperatives in Eastern Europe.

The press conference will start at 13.30 at Confederatie Bouw, Lombardstraat 34-42, Brussels.

The CLEEN project is a three-year project promoting the development of a regional partnership of more than 30 civil society organisations in the four project countries: Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Its main focus is to make energy efficiency a more important topic for the target regions.
