Armenia: public sector innovation in focus

January 26, 2017

How do new technologies affect the public administration system? How do the representatives of the public sector respond to these changes? On January 23, these questions and others were discussed during Armenia’s second Armenian Public Sector Innovation Week, organised as part of #Inno4dev: Innovation for Development, a project funded by the European Union.
Public Sector Innovation week is a series of events dedicated to exploring public governance, celebrating innovation in governance, learning about how technology can support better policymaking and what can be done to ensure that citizens and government work together efficiently.
The event was organised by the Kolba Innovations Lab, which implements the project with the UNDP.
"#Inno4Dev: Innovation for development” aims to create more opportunities and mechanisms for citizen engagement, and to introduce tools and systems for more effective and open governance.
The project – which runs from 2015-18 – has three main components: idea incubation for citizens and public servants, customized public awareness actions and public sector engagement.
