Moldova and Ukraine are in focus of the EaPTC Support Programme

In October 2013 the EaPTCSupportProgramme Key Experts undertake the Fact Finding Mission to Moldova and Ukraine with the aim to identify the main stakeholders and target groups of the Territorial Cooperation Programme Moldova-Ukraine (MD-UA TC). The local and regional authorities, public service providers, civil society organisations, citizens’ initiatives and unions, trade unions, youth organisations, associations of small and medium-sized enterprises, etc. are in the focus of the Stakeholders mapping exercise of the EaPTCSupportProgramme Experts in Moldova and Ukraine.

During the meetings or individual interviews the EaPTCSupportProgramme Experts will acquaint the potential beneficiaries of the MD-UA TC with the goal, objectives and priorities of the Eastern PartnershipTerritorial Cooperation as well as will identify the level of capacities of local and regional institutions and organisations to develop and implement joint cross-border projects aimed at addressing the common social-economic development challenges in the eligible regions. In Moldova the EapTC experts will meet with state and non-state actors in Chisinau, Balti, Comrat, Cahul and Ungheni.In Ukraine the meetings with potential beneficiaries will be organised in Odessa, Vinnytsya and Chernivtsi, the three Ukrainian eligible regions for the MD-UA territorial cooperation programme.

Mr Lorenzo Nava, the EaPTCSupportProgrammeCapacity Building Expert will pay a visit to Bucharest, Romania, to share an experience with ENPI Black Sea Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) Programme and Romania-Moldova-Ukraine CBC Programme.

As a result of the Fact Findings mission and Stakeholders’ mapping exercise in Moldova and Ukraine, the main actors and target groups are identified, as well as the EaPTC Support Programme activities and Capacity Building Programme are adopted to the local needs and specifics of each eligible area forthe MD-UA Territorial Cooperation Programme.
