EU helps to enhance Azerbaijani school management system

September 28, 2017

School management in Azerbaijan will be the focus of the two-day workshop that starts in the country’s capital Baku on 28 September.

The event is organised through the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission (TAIEX) and in cooperation with Azerbaijan’s Education ministry.

The topics to be discussed at the workshop include how to create a friendly school environment and at the same time ensure transparent and accountable management, how to involve students and parents in school management and how to generate new funding and development.

The main objective of the workshop is to prepare a local school management module and train local multipliers to deliver the module to all Baku schools.

TAIEX is a demand-driven tool that supports partner countries with the adaptation of national laws, regulations and quality standards to match those of EU Member States in the framework of Cooperation or Association Agreements signed with the EU. In the Eastern Neighbourhood, TAIEX works with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
