EU Disinformation Digest is now available in Russian

March 11, 2016

The East StratCom Task Force, a part of the European External Action Service (EEAS), has started distributing its Disinformation Digest in Russian. The Digest analyses how pro-Kremlin media see the world and what independent Russian voices say. Every Friday, it shows key trends on Russian social media, so that readers can put pro-Kremlin narratives into their wider context. Both products of the Task Force, the Disinformation Review that comes out every Tuesday and the Disinformation Digest distributed on Fridays, are now published in English and Russian.

As recently reported by the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre, the East StratCom Task Force was established following the March 2015 European Council, which "stressed the need to challenge Russia's ongoing disinformation campaigns". It focuses on the effective communication and promotion of EU policies towards the Eastern Neighbourhood, strengthening the overall media environment in the region and improving the EU's capacity to forecast, address and respond to disinformation.

You can follow the EU-Disinfo campaign via Twitter @EUvsDisinfo or by subscribing to the above mentioned newsletters. For updates in English sign up here or for updates in Russian here. The team is always looking for new contributors to the Disinformation Review from the EU Member States, Eastern Partner countries and beyond. If you are interested in collaborating with them, please contact the team at stratcom-east@eeas.europa.eu. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
