Moldovan and Ukrainian educators studied new interactive methods and practices to work with young care leavers

Practical seminar for specialists in non-formal education dedicated to introducing interactive methods in the educational process took place in Chisinau, Moldova, on 22-24 February, 2018. The event was organized by the Moldovan Branch of the Association “Amici dei Bambini” within the framework of the cross-border project ”Facilitation of People to People links in the social, cultural and educational sphere for young care leavers from Republic of Moldova and Chernivtsi region”.

15 specialists (pedagogues, psychologists, social assistants) took part in the seminar. They studied new methods and interactive practices in working with children and youth, learning ways of efficient communication and models of innovative activities. A similar event was successfully held earlier for 15 Ukrainian specialists in Chernivtsi.

“One of the goals of this training course is to facilitate the understanding of the differences between formal, informal and non-formal education as well as the interdependence between three forms of education for a harmonious development of the child’s personality”, said Mrs Victoria Matveev, national trainer in non-formal education.

The project ”Facilitation of People to People links in the social, cultural and educational sphere for young care leavers from Republic of Moldova and Chernivtsi region” aims to contribute to the creation of better conditions for care leavers from Moldova and Chernivtsi region (Ukraine), especially by developing their basic life skills. The cross-border initiative is co-financed by the European Union within the Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programme Moldova-Ukraine. It total budget is 143,330 Euro.
