EU Delegation to Belarus accepting applications for European Union Visitors Programme 2020

March 12, 2019

Young leaders from Belarus interested in a career in the EU have until 5 April to express their interest in taking part in the European Union Visitors Programme (EUVP).

Established by the European Parliament and the European Commission in 1974, the programme is designed to enable active or future decision-makers and opinion-moulders outside the EU to get an insight into the political system and, more concretely, into the functioning of European institutions. It enables them to learn about the perspectives of European decision-makers on a wide range of issues.

An EUVP study visit normally involves five working days of meetings with EU officials at the EU institutions in Brussels. Applicants with a political profile are also invited to attend a three-day plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, in which case the study visit will last eight working days (five in Brussels and three in Strasbourg).

The EU Delegation to Belarus, responsible for applications from Belarusian citizens living and working in Belarus, will accept applications until 5 April. More information on how to apply and the eligibility criteria can be found here.
