Armenian companies prepare to attend Hannover trade fair in April with EU support

February 8, 2018

In April, four Armenian companies specialised in precision engineering and the “Internet of Things” will attend the Hannover Messe 2018 trade fair and take part in a roadshow in Germany organised by the EU4Business SMEDA (Support to SME Development in Armenia) project.

The companies were selected by SMEDA in a competitive procedure following a call for applications. They will be accompanied to Germany by representatives from the country’s  Ministry of Economic Development and Investments.

The selected companies will have a chance to network with relevant and potential partners, senior officials, investors and clients from Europe and all over the world. Before their visit to Germany, the companies will participate in a two-day workshop preparing for their participation and presentation at the event.

Hannover Messe has been the world’s most important industrial technology trade fair and largest capital goods exhibition for years: in 2017 it attracted 6,000 exhibitors, 150 speakers and 225,000 visitors and hosted 1,400 events.

The EU4Business SMEDA project supports the improvement of the business and investment climate for SMEs in Armenia. It aims to strengthen the private sector, support SME coordination mechanisms, and foster links between research institutions and the private sector, as well as providing access to finance for SMEs.
