Potential partners from the border regions of Belarus and Ukraine are actively preparing for the Call for Proposals

The delegation of Belarus shared the experience of cooperation in the field of cross-border projects’ planning and development with their Ukrainian colleagues in March, during the international round table "The European experience of cross-border cooperation for Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus", attended by over 60 representatives of both countries.
In the framework of the event, the Information Multiplier of the EaPTC Support Programme Ms. Ekaterina Kosykh, Director of Brest Transboundary Infocentre, presented the Belarus - Ukraine Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programme, in particular, the Call for Proposals that was launched on January 20 and will last until April 19, 2016. The overall indicative amount made available by the EU under this Call for Proposals is 3.3 million EUR.
Currently, representatives of the border regions of both countries are actively involved in the process of preparation and submission of joint project proposals aimed at addressing common development challenges. According to preliminary data, potential applicants from Belarus are mostly focused on cooperation in such areas as tourism, culture, healthcare, safety assurance and environmental protection.
