Summary of the action

Objectives of the action

Overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacities of tourism service providers and local authorities in Soroca and Yampil to develop rural tourism through cross-border cooperation.

Specific objectives:

  • To strengthen the management capacities and professional skills of tourism service providers in the targeted districts;
  • To increase the capacities of regional and local authorities in developing and implementing sustainable policies in the rural tourism in the target districts;
  • To raise awareness of citizens and tourism service providers in the targeted districts, as well as to capitalise rural touristic potential by potential visitors in order to ensure social-economic development for human communities from the border districts;
  • To ensure joint project management and Moldovan-Ukrainian communication.
Main activities
  • Identifying and selecting tourism service providers in targeted districts;
  • Organising trainings, study visits, workshops, for tourism service providers and public authorities in order to develop skills to promote their touristic products;
  • Setting up the Moldovan-Ukrainian Association of Tourism Service Providers in the targeted districts;
  • Developing and promoting a comprehensive Moldovan-Ukrainian Rural Tourism Regional Development Programme in Soroca and Yampil districts;
  • Developing a documentary film, website, informational materials, five touristic routes and a practical touristic guide designed for tourism service providers.
