Summary of the action

Overall objectiveImprovement of touristic and investment attractiveness of cross-border Polissia in Brest and Volyn regions
Specific objectives
  • Enhancement of quality and quantity of tourist services, tourist information, tourist safety and availability of the unique natural landscapes of Polissia
  • Creation of a positive tourist image of the cross-border Polissia territory through the promotion of the international ecotourism brand name “Polissia”
Target group(s)
  • Representatives of the state and local government bodies of the project area (about 150)
  • management of nature parks (about 20)
  • tourist NGOs (about 30)
  • travel agencies and business (about 120)
  • small businesses in the green sphere (about 360)
Main activities
  • Creation of Polissia Cross-border Ecotourism Association, Cross-border eco-touristic bicycle route, cross-border Polissia eco-touristic routes network
  • Elaboration of Strategy of ecological tourism development in cross-border Polissia
  • Creation of 1 and improvement of 2 Cross-border Tourist Information Centres
  • Development and marking of 8 eco-touristic routes
  • Organisation of 2 study-tours
  • Development of mobile-application for a bilingual audio tour guide, 3 video-clips for ecotourism popularization, 3 websites, development and dissemination of tourist brochures and maps;
  • Holding a conference, 2 mass-media campaigns, Cross-border bike ride, Cross-border eco-touristic festival and quest, joint participation in 2 tourism fairs.
